For the manufacture of this unusual combined shelving, which can be installed at home or, for example, in a country house, sawn-off wooden boards are used (you can disassemble old pallets or furniture panels), water pipes, adapters for them, as well as fittings with couplings.
At the same time, the rack has an absolutely chaotic design, decorated in the popular Loft style, which adds some “zest” to the whole structure. For work, you can use a miter saw or alternative tools - a hand saw, a circular saw, a jigsaw, etc.
The main stages of work
First of all, we mark the boards and cut them to size - these will be the shelves of the rack. Then in them it is necessary to make landing holes for water pipes. For this, it is better to use a Forstner drill with a diameter of 28 mm. Then the shelves must be covered with a layer of mineral oil, but first we sanded them with sandpaper.
We cut the water pipes into pieces of suitable length - on one side, the couplings are screwed so that it can be placed on top of the shelf, and on the other, locknuts to fix the shelves. When all the materials are ready, you can proceed with the assembly of the rack.
