When working with angle grinders, popularly known as the “grinder”, it is sometimes very convenient to fix the tool on a mount with a working table.
There is a simple but very reliable way to do this, which can be quickly implemented in your own home workshop. First of all, it will be necessary to remove the protective cover and handle from the grinder.
Using suitable diameter bolts, short metal strips with a length of approximately 5-6 cm (two pieces) must be connected to the gear case. A transverse bar is welded to them. Then a profile pipe is welded to this mount.
The main stages of work
A stand (work table) for the workpieces is made of a metal plate. A small piece of the profile pipe is welded to the bottom of the structure to fix the fastening in a bench vise.
After that, you can put on a protective casing, install a flap disc, fix the angle grinder on the mount and start working. Make sure the entire structure is firmly secured in a vise.
This method is good because it does not require expensive materials or complex professional skills - everything you need is easy to find in any workshop, and the work itself does not take more than an hour, even for a person completely inexperienced in these matters.
