In this review, the author shows how you can make an automatic elevator with your own hands, which is suitable for any milling cutter. Very useful home-made for the home workshop.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut the blanks that will be used for making homemade products. The main material is a profile pipe 20 * 20 mm. You will also need a perforated plate, two sprockets, a chain and washers.
The author welds washers to two sections of the profile pipe. Then it cuts the perforated plate into two parts, and welds the profile pipes to them.
In the third blank from the profile, you need to drill holes. Next, the profile pipes and plates need to be cleaned, and then painted.
The main stages of work
The next step is to weld two washers to the sprockets. You do not need to completely scald - just put 3-4 tacks.
After that, you can proceed to the assembly of the structure. In addition to the main parts, two studs, long bolts, elongated nuts and bearings will also be required.
The elevator, together with the manual milling cutter, is mounted under the milling table. The table itself can be made from a sheet of plywood.
Please note that the elevator can be set in motion either manually, using a hex key, or using a screwdriver.
