The first step is to draw an approximate shape of the gun on a piece of paper. This will be the case in which the author will then place the usual turbo lighter. By the way, it is very easy to replace it if necessary.
Next, you need to make a template out of paper, and already cut out two identical blanks from sheet metal with a thickness of 1.5 mm. For ease of processing, both workpieces are joined together using bolts.
The main stages of work
For the shutter of a lighter-gun, segments of thin-walled pipes are quite suitable. For example, a rectangular profile pipe 15 * 20 mm or a furniture elliptical pipe 30 * 16 mm can be used for this.
Next, it will be necessary to cut two strips of 10.5 mm wide from sheet steel. True, the thickness of the bands is different. In the first case, it is 1.5 mm, in the second - 2 mm.
At the next stage, with the help of a bench vise, a hammer and pliers, the author gives the stripes the desired shape. Then you need to weld the workpiece to one of the halves of the body of the gun-lighter.
After that, the stop for the lighter and the second sidewall of the body are welded. Further, from individual parts, the author welds the trigger "key" (it just looks a little like a hook).
