In winter, I really want to have a drop of summer. Preparations for the winter will help us with this! Try pickled watermelon - easy to cook and very tasty! An interesting recipe for making an unusual treat that you will definitely like.
Will need
Ingredients:
- watermelon.
Other ingredients (per one three-liter jar):
- carrots - 1-2 thin circles
- onions - 1-2 rings
- garlic - 3-4 peeled teeth
- bay leaves - to taste.
- dill to taste
- black pepper - a few peas
For marinade (also based on one three-liter jar):
- vinegar - 3 tbsp. l (9% required)
- salt and sugar - 2 tbsp. l
Cooking pickled watermelon for the winter
Initially, set to boil water.
In the meantime, prepare the banks. They must be clean and dry. At the bottom of the jar we spread: bay leaf, carrot onion, black pepper, a bunch of dill (or other herbs, depending on taste) and garlic.
Cut the watermelon into four parts, then with thin slices. Put them in jars.
When the water begins to boil, pour into jars, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.
We pour the water into the pan and now we add the ingredients for the marinade, based on the number of three-liter cans.
While the marinade is boiling, we complete the jars with slices of watermelon so that they are full. We fill it with marinade and again leave it for 10-12 minutes.
We perform this procedure twice and twist the banks.
Gently turn over the twisted cans and wrap them tightly for a day or even a half.
No one will refuse such a snack in winter, take my word for it! But no, so try it!
Bon Appetit!
