A simple low-power centrifugal pump, which can easily operate on two finger batteries. Its purpose may be different. For example, you can build a miniature fountain on it, or another composition with iridescent water.
Materials to be used
- Motor from a children's toy.
- Double insulated wire for connection.
- Epoxy resin
- Impeller made of a cover or wheels of a typewriter.
- A round plastic container. From the old film will do.
Impeller for the pump.
The impeller can be made of stiffeners from the wheels of a toy car. Also, no one forbids to glue the impeller completely to their pieces of plastic.
Motor from children's toys. It is good because it requires low-voltage power supply - 3V. You can use any other.
Solder wires to it.
We wrap the motor with electrical tape so that it fits snugly into the container. Try on.
Fill the wire with epoxy. This is necessary in order to make the pump completely tight. Now it will be possible to immerse it in water entirely.
From thin plastic, a partition must be cut that will separate the motor from the impeller chamber with water.
We insert the partition.
Fill adhesive places with glue.
We cut the nozzle for supplying and taking water. From the side and center in the lid.
The pump is completely ready!
Of course, you should not expect space productivity and pressure from him, although in principle, for some needs, he can still be completely useful.
