To mark a long center line on a workpiece made of metal (profile pipe, corner, plate, etc.), you can use a home-made centralizer from a diamond blade for angle grinders. The device is very simple, so make it with your own hands under the power of each master.

In addition to the diamond disc for the grinder, you will also need two bolts with convex hats, nuts and a segment of the stud, the edge of which will need to be sharpened under the cone. Let's not waste time, but immediately proceed to the manufacture of this homemade product.

First of all, on the sides of the diamond blade for angle grinders, you need to drill two through holes into which the bolts with bulging caps will be inserted. You can use ordinary bolts - in this case, it does not matter.

The main stages of work

We insert bolts with bearings into the drilled holes, and then tighten them with nuts on the back side. Half the job is done - now it remains only to weld the remaining parts for the centering device.

In the middle of the diamond disk, you need to weld a large washer (it can be cut from sheet metal with a thickness of 2-3 mm). A nut is then welded to the washer. We grind a piece of the pin under the cone and screw it into the central hole.
