An ordinary grinding machine can be indispensable for a garage or workshop. But when you need to grind the edges of a small product or to clean a workpiece of small size, it is not always convenient to use a manual power tool. A mini grinder with a turntable will come to the rescue.
For example, we will assemble such a table and a bed for holding the grinder. To do this, you will need: an electric drill, a angle grinder (grinder), a welding machine, several small tubes (of various diameters), a metal plate, pieces of a rectangular and square pipe, a spring, washers, several bolts of various lengths and nuts.
Everything is assembled very simply by welding. To start, we will produce a plate (it is also a holder for a typewriter). We measure the length we need, cut it off, and weld the nuts according to the distances between the holes in the body. Next, we weld a tube of a smaller diameter to the plate.
The process of making a mini grinder
At the next stage, we begin to manufacture the bed. A square tube of the required length is perpendicularly welded to the tube of larger diameter. On the reverse side we make a hole and weld a nut (it will serve as a stopper for the inner tube).
We weld a plate to this pipe on the reverse side, which will play the role of a table for fixing on a workbench.
Making a turntable will not take much time. A tube is welded to the typewriter holder in parallel with the typewriter. We insert another tube into it (having previously welded a nut to its one part, and one more tube at an angle of 90 degrees to the back).
By connecting these parts, we install the spring and tighten it with a bolt through the washer. In the perpendicular tube we also install a lock nut for the bolt. To another tube we weld a piece of a rectangular pipe, this is our table.
