Sometimes for some homemade work a small spring is required, but it doesn’t turn out to be evil at hand. So that from now on such situations do not arise, you can assemble a homemade mini machine for making springs from wire.
This will require a drill chuck, a piece of round pipe, a piece of thick metal, a strip of metal, as well as a steel plate.
First of all, the author cuts a trapezoidal shape from a piece of metal. Then on a drilling machine it will be necessary to drill two holes in the upper part of the workpiece.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, you need to cut out a square-shaped plate and drill four mounting holes in it. It is also necessary to make recesses under the caps of bolts (screws).
Then we fix the plate in a vise, install a trapezoidal part on top and weld both workpieces together.
Next, the author installs a drill chuck and a metal handle, machined on a lathe. In principle, in this case, the handle can also be made of wood.
Then we fix the assembled structure in a bench vise or fasten it to the table, and you can begin to work.
