In this review, the author shares the idea - how to make a compact cutting machine from a grinder (angle grinder) and a shock absorber from a car with your own hands.
First of all, at the edges of the shock absorber, the author inserts bolts into the holes and fixes them with nuts.
After that, it will be necessary to make two guides - cut off two workpieces from the profile pipe. You will also need to cut two blanks from a larger section profile.
The main stages of work
To short sections of the profile pipe, which "go" along the guides, the master welds a bolt mounted on the shock absorber.
At the next stage, it will be necessary to cut the workpiece from the profile pipe, which we fasten with loops to the guides at the other end.
Next, one more piece of the profile pipe will need to be welded to the short sections of the profile perpendicularly, as shown in the photo below.
With the help of self-tapping screws, the author fastens the resulting structure to a wooden base - in this case, to the table.
After that, we install a grinder and a cutting disc for metal on a makeshift rack.
