In this review, the author shows the manufacturing process of a simple wood lathe. An electric drill is used as a drive.
First of all, it is necessary to cut the part from a piece of metal strip, drill a hole with a diameter of 8 mm in it, and screw it onto the mount for the drill.
After that, it will be necessary to weld a piece of a square profile pipe with a cross section of 25x25 mm and a length of 400 mm to the plate.
After that, the author cuts a piece of the profile pipe 30 * 30 mm and a length of 65 mm, and puts it on the profile 25 * 25 mm.
To fix a short section of a profile pipe 30 * 30 mm, the author uses a bolt with a nut with a diameter of 8 mm. The nut must be welded to the profile in which the master drills a hole.
The main stages of work
To a short section of the profile 30 * 30 mm, you need to weld a piece of the profile pipe 20 * 30 mm at an angle of 90 degrees.
The master drowned the upper part of the rectangular profile pipe with a piece of a metal strip measuring 20 * 4 mm.
It is necessary to weld a bolt with a diameter of 10 mm to the upper part of the profile pipe 20 * 30 mm. The edge of the bolt must be grinded onto the cone.
At the last stage, it remains only to make a clamp for blanks and a handicraft. Then we proceed to the assembly of the machine.
