Not sure where to fit empty plastic cans? Make a mallet of them. In this review, the author shows a detailed process for its manufacture.
The first step is to cut the plastic cans into pieces. The total mass of plastic should be 650 g.
Next, from pieces of plywood or chipboard, you will need to make a mold with a lid so that you can "cast" the head of a mallet. To fix the cover, the author uses two large clamps.
How to make such parallel clamps with your own hands, you can read in this review.
The main stages of work
The cut pieces of plastic must be heated in the oven so that they become soft and melted. Then this mass needs to be shifted into shape, well tamped and covered.
After the plastic has hardened, remove the workpiece from the mold, and then drill a hole for the handle in the middle.
The author makes a handle for a mallet from a wooden block glued from two battens. We process the workpiece and give it the desired shape. Then we put the head on the handle.
