I will not describe the basis of the cake, since the internal filling can be absolutely any. This time I had a sponge cake, smeared with butter-based cocoa cream.
To make a cake, I prepared sugar mastic in advance. It seems to me the most convenient mastic in the work, made on the basis of chewing marshmallows.
To prepare it, chew marshmallows must be melted in a water bath or in the microwave, adding a small amount of butter to it.
Melted marshmallows are divided into two parts. We will leave most of it white, and the second we will paint in blue.
Then we knead the mastic, just add the icing sugar into it, until the mass ceases to stick to the hands.
The finished mastic is sent overnight to the refrigerator, wrapped in cling film.
We will start decorating the cake by covering it with white mastic. We roll it out using an ordinary rolling pin. After a night in the refrigerator, the mastic rolls quite hard, but it does not stick and does not tear.
To decorate the sides of the cake, I bought edible lace, which is very easily glued to mastic with sweet syrup.
Roll out the blue mastic and cut out the rectangle - it will be kryzhma. Using a regular toothpick, we form a tissue structure on it. Of course, all this is much easier to do with the help of special stamps, and it turns out more beautiful and more, it seems, but as they say, what is not, is not.
Also, in the design of the cake for the christening, I used a cross, which I cut out using a stencil, which I myself did by simply drawing a cross on paper, and even easier to do this by printing a cross template on the printer.
I decorated the cross with silver sugar dragees.
With the help of these pills, I laid out a silver cross and a chain.
The inscription on the cake I made on the mastic cut out in the form of a sheet of paper. I made the inscription with a toothpick, which I dipped in a dye diluted in sugar syrup.
Flowers for decoration are made quite simply, the petals are formed using a toothpick, and combine them into a flower (such as chamomile).
We spread all the elements on the cake, and this is the result.
